Ever wondered how to get your research stories into the media? Or wished you could feel more confident and engaging when giving presentations? The Postdoc Alpine Retreat is here to help! Join us for an evening and morning packed with new ideas, practical skills, and a little adventure in the beautiful surroundings of Obernberg.

Thursday, September 24
At 4:00 PM, we’ll travel together by public transport to Obernberg, enjoy dinner, and then dive into an evening of Lightning Talks & Skill Sharing, a chance to exchange ideas and expertise across disciplines.
We’ll wrap up the evening with our Postdoc Retreat Treasure Hunt, where hidden clues, ciphers, and teamwork will put your collective problem-solving skills to the test.

Friday, September 25
The morning features two hands-on workshops designed to boost your communication skills:

  *   Science Communication with Benedikt Kapferer<https://benediktkapferer.at/> (journalist at ORF): Learn how journalists work and how to turn your research into compelling stories for the media.
  *   Speech Training with Thomas Lackner<https://www.thomas-lackner.at/> (actor & speech trainer): Develop practical skills to communicate with greater confidence, clarity, and impact.
After lunch, we’ll head out for a hike to Obernberger See before returning to Innsbruck in the late afternoon.
