Dear all,
Short on time, but interested in exchanging ideas and gaining new perspectives on leadership, challenges in academia, and the QV? We are planning to offer a Peer Consultation group for Tenure-Track Professors, facilitated by an experienced external coach. If you are interested in participating, please let me know within the next 2 weeks. Based on the level of interest, we will then coordinate a schedule that works as well as possible for everyone.
Peer consultation offers Tenure-Track Professors the opportunity to engage in regular, structured exchange with colleagues from different disciplines. In a confidential small-group setting, participants reflect on concrete professional challenges, share experiences, and develop possible solutions with the support of an external coach.
Format
· Interdisciplinary, facilitated small group: Meetings take place approximately every six weeks over a period of six months, facilitated by an experienced external coach. Regular participation in all sessions is encouraged.
· Duration: Approximately 2 hours per session
· Format: Online
· Confidentiality: All discussions take place in a protected and strictly confidential setting.
· Language: German or English, depending on the participants.
The aim is to create a trusted space for peer exchange where participants can address concrete professional questions, share experiences, and gain new perspectives on their roles and career development.
Possible Topics
The topics will be guided by the participants’ current needs and may include:
· Individual questions and challenges related to the Tenure-Track position
· Leadership, collaboration, teamwork, and team development
· Self-management and prioritization
· Preparing for positioning, presentation, and evaluation situations
· Current professional challenges where exchange with experienced colleagues can provide valuable perspectives and support
Benefits
Peer consultation gives you the opportunity to:
· Gain new perspectives and ideas for your leadership and academic work
· Discuss concrete professional questions with colleagues from different disciplines
· Benefit from the knowledge and experience of your peers
· Gain additional perspectives and support through the guidance of an experienced external coach
I’m happy to answer any questions that come up.
Best regards,
Verena Aignesberger
